The Amakhala Game Reserve is known for its incredible beauty and the incredible amount of wildlife that call the malaria-free Eastern Cape bush home.
Amakhala houses the renowned Big Five, which is made up of an elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo. As well as the Big Five, Amakhala is also home to zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, antelope, cheetah, warthogs and a stunning array of colourful birds, that can be heard chirping and fluttering overhead, providing a soundtrack to your safari.
Each accommodation in Amakhala provides guests with personalized activities that can be enjoyed with the accommodation serving as a base. Safari Lodge offers each of their guests’ two stunning safaris a day. Guests will embark on two jam-packed safari adventures with trained guides who know just where to find some of the best wildlife South Africa has to offer. Guests will have the best chances to encounter these amazing animals!
