    “pleasant stay in thornybush”

This is the place to go for a nice location, very good guides, lovely food and (of course) lots of animal sightings. Quiet part of the area, very pretty setting (both the upper and lower sections). Service was outstanding.
Not cheap, but Room was spacious, good mosquito protection nets, good shower, fridge and even airco (but also a fan, much better!). Best asset? Great people working there! Thanks, Linda and Andrew and the crew!

    “Exceptional Stay”

The Klaserie team is truly exceptional. The lodge was exactly as advertised and presented within the brochures and any ask we had was immediately attended to. I really enjoyed the food (especially the Bobotie and Louis’ Ouma’s apple tart.)

However, the cherry on to top is the Klaserie Guides. Louis, Ashley and Jeremy went out of their way to ensure that each trip had interesting stories and full of knowledge transfer. A simple – ‘did you know’ or ‘let me tell you a story about…’ goes a long way. They are not only knowledgeable but respectful of nature and live their careers with great passion.

“Fantastic! Wonderful people and a great lodge.”

Excellent experience at Klaserie. We were there for 3 days and during that time had nothing but a fantastic experience. The lodge is excellent and has a great vibe. It’s in rustic safari style, but with all mod cons. The staff are amazing and make you feel like you’re part of the family and nothing is too much trouble. Great home cooking and trips out. Meeting Giraffes in the grounds morning, noon and night was amazing. Will definitely go back. A big thank you to Louis and team.

    “Excellent hospitality”

Just returned from a three night stay at Klaserie river, we had the most amazing stay. Travelling as two couples they tailor made each of our stays so that we did what we wanted. The staff are the true asset of the lodge as from arrival to departure each and every person wanted to do anything they could to make your stay more enjoyable. The lodge is exactly what is shown on websites, no surprises when you get there.
We had amazing safari drives seeing the big 5 and so much more.
Really enjoyed the chalet style rooms with the deck overlooking the river just watching the animals drink and the birds catching fish….. Would go back tomorrow, very good value for money and exceeded our expectations.
    Thanks !!
