“Memorable experience.”

This was my first experience to stay in a game reserve in South Africa. What a memorable experience I had. All the staff I meet at Tilney Manor were incredibly passionate about where they work, they went beyond my expectations. Nothing was a problem. The game drives I just did not want to end as they were so thrilling in some ways. Seeking out the animals as they roamed freely through the nature reserve.
The accommodation was top class. Recommend to utilize the spa and the treatments available. This experience is something I really hope to be able to be blessed in life to return to and enjoy again. MAY ALL IN SANBONA BE BLESSED ON THERE JOURNEY IN 2018.

“Luxurious accommodation within large game reserve”

We stayed in Tilney Manor for two nights which included all meals and four game drives. The hotel itself is luxurious, with outstanding cooking and perfectly attentive staff, a special mention for Sam who is knowledgeable, friendly and permanently happy with the guests. There are only six rooms, ours no 6 was at the far end with amazing views from the private terrace with indoor and outdoor showers. You are right on the game reserve and the pride of lions including one of the “impossible five”, white lions walking past our terrace only 25m away (there is a discrete low electric fence for safety). The game drives were superb with the highlight being a walking safari to find a cheetah resting which we got within 20m of.
There is a transfer bus from the welcome lodge about 30 mins drive away or you can self-drive but be aware that this is where all the game is so don’t get out your car!
Totally outstanding stay on every level. World-class experience.

“Amazing experience!”

Where do I begin? The whole experience was amazing. Tilney Manor was beautiful and the staff was great. Everyone was attentive and extremely hospitable. The rooms were large and clean with a great views of the reserve. I love the outdoor shower however it was too cold to enjoy it! The bed was really comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. We indulged on every meal.

The game drive was definitely an experience. Our ranger was Josh. He has so much knowledge and passion for animals. We saw rhinos, baboons, giraffes, lions, zebras (5 feet away from the lodge, as we were returning from our evening drive), elephants- it was just phenomenal!

Overall, a fantastic stay. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

“Absolutely Spectacular”

This reserve was amazing from start to finish! They took care of the transfer, greeted me at the door, showed me around Tilney Manor then showed me to my exquisite room with a King size bed, bath, outdoor showers and verandah. A wonderful private retreat. That’s all before the beautiful food and the fantastic experience on the gaming drives with 2 a day. The animals are so elegant and majestic and the rangers make the biggest effort to give you an awesome experience. They even include a blanket and hot water bottle for those chilly days. I will be back!
