    “Great guiding!”

When on safari, the quality of the guide plays a very important role in one’s overall satisfaction regarding the stay. At Tydon Bush Camp, Jacques is an outstanding guide. For example, when we saw a leopard walking nearby, Jacques anticipated where the leopard would end up, and put us in a favorable position to see the leopard. Other guides who were also following the leopard were not nearly as skilled, and consequently we enjoyed the leopard all to ourselves for quite some time. This happened on at least three occasions with different animals. Further, Jacques’ displayed an enthusiasm for his job and the animals that was infectious, and had everybody in the vehicle in the mood to enjoy themselves.

    “Excellent stay, unforgettable experience”

Tents are great, heated, mosquito proof, comfortable, spotless clean. They even made our beds for us twice a day! Hospitality was great. And we got Jacques as our guide for the game drives, which was perfect: he is knowledgeable, extremely passionate and he is also a photographer, so he always put us in the perfect spot for the most perfect pictures. Nothing else to say except thank you.

    “Amazing Experience”

The reviews that come before this are all on target! This is a small, upscale, fun way to camp! Jacque, our driver really knows how to find animals. He observes everything around him and connects with nature in such an amazing way. We saw leopards up close, along with elephants, rhinoceroses and many beautiful birds. Abby Was a wonderful, caring housekeeper. I especially liked stopping for a drink at sunset and looking out at the beautiful landscape. Returning to camp and being greeted with a roaring fire and a delicious meal was icing on the cake!

    “Wow!”

We stayed 2 nights at Tydon Bush Camp and then 2 more nights in their safari camp. The Bush camp is situated directly in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. It is an intimate camp with all of the necessities you could need (Aircon, hot showers, very comfortable beds), but still gives you an authentic safari feel. Tydon Bush Camp is a real gem. Our guide, Jacques, was truly exceptional! We saw 4 leopards in one drive! Jacques seemed to have a sixth sense about the animals and always kept us entertained. Evenings hanging out around the campfire were the perfect ends to such amazing game drive-filled days. Sabi Sands is a fantastic reserve with animals that are very habituated to vehicles which lend itself to amazing game viewing! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back soon!
