“Out of this world”

Everyone at Lion Sands made an extra special effort to make our honeymoon really memorable, including arranging a stay at the Chalkley Treehouse under the stars! The atmosphere at the lodge itself is one of serenity and relaxation and the food was really excellent. The staff were polite, friendly and had a good sense of humour. In particular, we enjoyed the company of Stanley and Abraham (our ranger and guide) whose skill and knowledge on our game drives meant we were spoilt for choice in terms of the animals we were able to see and learn about. Already trying to find an excuse to return – see you on our anniversary!

“A place like nowhere else in the world”

The lion sands safari is one of the most spectacular places in the world! Nothing is too much and the staff will go to any length to provide you with the best service! The lodge is 6-star quality. The decor in the rooms feels like you’re in the middle of the bush but with beautiful luxury amenities.
The rangers and trackers are second to none! If you are lucky to have Ian or Eddy, then you are in for a treat!!! We were so grateful to have such knowledgeable people to make our game drives an unforgettable experience. We stayed in the Chalkley tree house overnight which is one of the most incredible experiences if my life! You’re out in the middle of the bush hearing animal noises all night! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity! As for wildlife conservation, these people care immensely about the protection of all species and importance of educating the world. We cannot recommend lion sands highly enough.

“Pure Perfection - we cannot wait to return”

My husband and I have just returned from here, where we spent part of our Honeymoon. We had 4 nights in the lodge called ‘Fin Foot’ last week, and from the moment we arrived we were not only made to feel so welcome but were looked after so incredibly well it was so sad to say goodbye to everybody. Everything here is simply ‘perfect’. From the wonderful and welcoming staff (thanks Aubrey, Lindawe, Robyn and Janine), thoughtful menus, divine food (thanks Scott and Lorraine), extremely knowledgeable Tracker and Ranger (thanks Eddie & Landon) we spent time with to all the others as well who make this place so special. I even had a massage at the Spa and that was excellent! Without a shadow of a doubt, it has been the best experience we had – and we had one night in the Chalkley Treehouse, which was out of this world. To see the stars, satellites and ¾ Moon traverse across the sky throughout the night whilst hearing the magical sounds of nature around us is something we’ll cherish forever. And, last but not least, we were so lucky to have 8 amazing game drives where we managed to see everything and more we wished to see. So much thought goes into every aspect of your stay here that it’s easy to feel you’re part of the Lion Sands family. We miss all of you so much, and cannot wait to sort out a date for our return trip – Lion Sands has truly captured our hearts!

“Luxury and excitement!”

Absolutely beautiful surrounds, food and drinks were awesome! Our safari guide Kelly and tracker Noel were so cool! We saw the most amazing things and they were so knowledgeable and informative! Kelly’s enthusiasm was contagious, she is gorgeous!
We had a night in the tree house which was spectacular!! Do it if you can!
When we go back to Africa it will be hard not to go back here! Thanks, Lion Sands for such a memorable time!
