The Ivory Tree Game Lodge nestles within the renowned malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park which is approximately 2 hours drive away from Johannesburg, set in an extinct volcanic crater on the boundary of two distinct vegetation types.

The lodge enjoys an excellent reputation for the comfortable accommodation, tasty food and friendly staff while the game viewing, which may include sightings of the Big 5 (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino), provides thrilling experiences during a safari stay.

Executive and Standard Suites are tastefully decorated with a range of amenities for guests’ comfort and enjoyment. Décor is typical African in flavour, with warm tones. Each of the suites features a comfortable outdoor sitting area making for a relaxing setting.

The main activity at the Ivory Tree Game Lodge is the thrilling open vehicle safaris which provide guests with a genuinely exciting and rare bushveld experience.

Unlike most national park game drives, the game drives available at the Ivory Tree Game Lodge are conducted in custom-built ten seater vehicles. Guests are allocated a dedicated ranger for the duration of their stay, ensuring that they enjoy a full game viewing opportunity, the emphasis being on big game. The game drives in open vehicles at the Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa provide an unforgettable experience. The Ivory Tree Game Lodges utilizes custom-built ten seater open game viewers which permit maximum all-around visibility.

Pilanesberg National Park falls within a crossover or transition zone, and this is where bushveld meets the edge of the Kalahari. For this reason, the diversity of wildlife is greater than most other areas as animals endemic to both regions overlap at this point.

The Pilane Villa is made up of four Standard rooms in a central area. Accommodating up to eight adults, the villa is available for exclusive-use. Guests then have access to a recreational area, as well as their own, private game drive vehicle.

The Kosher Villa at Ivory Tree offers a Kosher Kitchen, private dining and lounge area with a private pool and a private vehicle and guide for the duration of your stay. The Kosher chef and supervisor will serve 3 meals a day. The new kitchen is exclusively for Kosher use; is segregated for meat and milk and will remain locked when not in use.
