Located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, also known for fantastic Big 5 game viewing, the relaxed and casual atmosphere makes the lodge suitable for families. Traditionally set around the camp waterhole guests can view the arrival of thirsty animals from the pool or upper deck, or simply from one’s own private veranda.

The resident on-site Warthog family makes for great entertainment, leaving every guest with a giggle and a smile. Children visiting Kambaku thrive on their exclusive child friendly game drives and on-site bush walks.

After so much adventure, waterhole sightings and cooling down at the pool, dinner next to a large crackling fire brings days under the African sky to a perfect tranquil end as the stars come out to dazzle guests to sleep.

“A great property with friendly staff”

We stayed at Kambaku for 3 nights at the end of October which was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and always available for questions and valuable insights. Our Safari driver was just great. I really like the way that when we saw an animal he pulled around in the jeep so everyone could see each animal and take a good picture. We saw so many animals. We were concerned about seeing Cats but the last day we did see a lion. It was chilly in the beginning so the Manager supplied not only blankets but also hot water bottles to keep us warm. I would totally recommend this lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

    “Great service, beautiful area”

Stayed for 3 nights. Went horse riding a lot. They take care very well of their horses. The rides are awesome, sometimes with sundowners or a bush breakfast. The location of the lodge is beautiful: wildlife roaming around in front of your room and the pool terrace. Room was spacious, food was great, and the staff were all so very kind. They even had my car washed on the morning of my departure. Awesome service! Price-quality ratio is more than excellent. Most guests return. I probably will!

    “Kambaku Safari Lodge was Amazing!”

This was the first time we had ever been to Africa and our first safari. It was all I thought it would be and more. Early morning and late afternoon game drives were amazing. We saw four of the big five our first afternoon. The staff treated us like family. Our tracker, Moses and our ranger, Ryno, made every trip out in the bush an adventure. I can’t wait to go back and see all of them again.

This lodge is one of the best
It was small, personal and very comfortable, we enjoyed every minute of our stay and safaris.
Catherine who runs a tight ship and her husband Ryno one of the guides was absolutely excellent, I can’t say enough about this young couple.
The meals and care to which they provided made our trip wonderful.
The safaris with Ryno as a guide and Moses our tracker made things exciting and memorable and the knowledge and passion from Ryno for the animals birds and stars were, in my mind, one of the best trips of our lives, and believe me when I say we have traveled the world and never enjoyed any trip as much as this one.
Thanks, guys you made my wife and me very happy and we will never forget the time with you.
