The Kapama Private Lodge is situated in the large area of the Kruger National Park. The reserve provides astonishing Big 5 sightings which also includes other rare exotic animals. Visit and remember the old traditions of the African safari camp.

The camp provides exclusive suites that are ideally located on elevated platforms and are covered by tall trees to provide shade. There is also a nearby river and the best thing about these suites is that they are interconnected with each other and the main lodge is elevated on wooden walkways. The camp also provides rustic campfire, outdoor dining, and comfortable air-conditioned suites.

Buffalo Camp may seem like old camp, but it is quite, in fact, a modern luxurious camp. This camp is just perfect to explore the old traditions of the African safari. It is also considered as one of Africa’s best safari places with a spa center that offers exceedingly luxurious treatments in a tranquil and pristine environment, which is set around a sparkling central pool to evoke peace and serenity.

    “Beyond Amazing!!!”

STAY HERE!!!! I did a lot of research on different safaris and I am so glad we picked this one. It was 5 star, 1st class service from start to finish and then more!!! Our room was so clean- not a single bug inside the room!! The shower had great water pressure! I loved the minibar in the room and the privacy in relation to other “tents”. The food: delicious- the afternoon snacks were my favorite! I had one of the best steaks of my life- melted in my mouth!

Safari- perfect!!! my husband is the animal person, I am not- and I loved every minute of it. Ben and Sonny were amazing- so nice, creating a great experience on each and every drive. Every drive was different and we saw so many different animals. They worked so hard to get us the best pictures. We saw the BIG 5 and even they were excited for us when we completed the Big 5!

Spa- I’m a spa snob – and this was perfect!!!! Friendly, super clean, best facial and massage of my life! The facilities at the spa were wonderful!

We will be back! Kapama made our trip a trip of a lifetime and I hope everyones experience is as perfect as ours!

“A first class place to stay”

We ended our African trip at Kapama and every aspect of this game park is first class. We were met at the airport by our guide for the entire stay. The young lady who picked us up from the airport would remain as our guide for all the game drives. There was 6 of us and the game drive vehicle took about 10 so it was always comfortable. All the game drive vehicles had similar numbers and so this is the norm never to crowd the vehicles. The room was outstanding, large and first class and included a complimentary minibar. The food and service was always excellent. So you really could not fault our stay.

The highlight was we saw the “big five” on the game drives over the 3 days.

    “A special place”

This was our first safari and we loved it from start to finish. The team work hard to attend to every detail from a personal transfer from the airport and throughout each stage of the day. The “tents” are lovely and some wildlife sightings are possible from your own balcony. The hospitality is generous, theoretically you could eat five times a day but there is not much opportunity for exercise so beware! There is a maximum of 20 guests and getting to know some of them added to our enjoyment of the holiday. We loved the dining experiences, there is a lot of choice. The food isn’t haute cuisine but it is tasty, thoughtfully prepared and well presented. The safari drives were completely amazing. I am sure all the guides are good but ours (Chris) was absolutely terrific. He knew so much about the animals, birds and terrain and shared his knowledge with such passion that it really added to our enjoyment. He was keen for us to see as much as possible and we absolutely loved the drives. I highly recommend a visit here.

We stayed three nights at this magical place. Words do not do it justice. The staff are so kind and welcoming we felt at home. Great food and wines all served with love. The tents are amazing with a large bed, freestanding bath and glass-walled shower. At times the wildlife was easy to see from our balcony. Our guide, Ben and our tracker, Sonny were a great team and found us so many wonderful places to view all the game. A safari at 6 am and then 4.30pm sounds exhausting but believe me it is truly wonderful and worth it. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We would love to go back one day!
