Kruger National Park

“The most wonderful experience”

A truly rewarding and relaxing experience. The long bumpy drive was definitely worth it. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly and very little detail makes it such a special experience. The game drives were exciting, informative and our guide did all he could to get us to see the big 5. Hot chocolate, flapjacks and lions as the sun came up was a moment to treasure. The pool was a lovely place to relax during the day, the food was delicious and plentiful and the rooms were cosy during the chilly nights. What an amazing start to our family holiday in SA. Thank you!

“fabulous place”

Kuzuko being smaller has a lovely feel. Was with a group of 29 on a tour taking in several parks. Lodge was lovely with all amenities, main area of lounge with 2 great fires when we got back from late game drives, small bar area and nice dining room was great. Deck had view over the reserve with no other buildings as far as you can see. The staff at the lodge were very attentive, our game drivers very informative. We did 3 drives in all and saw ostriches with babies, lots of kudu, cape mountain zebra, buffalo, antelopes, monkeys, elephants, wildebeest unfortunately in the distance, one of the 4 lions they have, one rhino, eland, and a cheetah.

Meals were excellent, There was a pool which would be great in warmer weather. The drives in September were rather chilly, do take good warm clothes for them and a wind jacket.

“Wonderful view, friendly staff and good rangers.”

My husband, our 1.5 uear old toddler and I stayed here for 2 nights. They’re one of the few safari resorts that are baby friendly so we brought our kid to the game drives. The child fell asleep most of the time because the bumpy ride was super comfortable for him. Our power ranger Thomas had a very keen sixth sense for spotting the animals. We saw a herd of elephants, lions, wilderbeasts, ostriches, orix, kudus, antelope, springboks, buffaloes, and many more.

The room itself has a very nice view of the hills in the reserve. It was a little small for our 2 big luggages — that would be my only complain. The meals were very delicious too.

Overall, we had a unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend kuzuko for anyone, especially those with young kids as they have babysitters who can look after the kids in the room.

“The perfect end to our trip”

From the second we arrived at the entrance lodge and were given our welcome drinks, our stay at Kuzuko Lodge was made one to remember. Our room had a stunning view overlooking the vast greenery of the park, and when it came to the game drives our guide CF was attentive as to making sure we really saw the most during our two nights here (which includes the lions, elephants, rhino and buffalo of the Big 5 amongst everything else). He was also honest about whether the other activities were right for us or not, and thus saved us money and a potentially disappointing experience. We really enjoyed the variety of food on offer during the evenings, and the afternoon teas were the perfect way to savour the time between drives. As it was my birthday just before we arrived my partner managed to arrange with the restaurant floor manager to have a cake brought out especially at the end of our first night; really it felt like nothing was too much for them.
