“Over the Top Safari in the Bush at Nedile Lodge”

Just returned from Nedile Lodge in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. The new managers, John Not and his wife Dominique, were amazing. The physical structure of Nedile Lodge is true luxury in the middle of the Bush. Dominique manages the Lodge and John serves as the ranger/guide on the outings. I went with a group of photographers and John was constantly working to make sure we had good lighting and plenty of animals to photograph. We saw over 110 species of animals and birds during 6 days. We were also able to witness animal behavior not often seen. The meals were amazing using local ingredients, the chef prepared meals more often found at fancy big city restaurants instead of out in the Bush. The price was exceedingly reasonable for what one received. Highly recommend.

“The Highlight of my South Africa Visit”

My second stay at this location but certainly not my last. Everything…and I mean everything….about Nedile is first class from the game drives with Michael, the physical accommodations, and most especially the entire hospitality staff. As a bonus you have that beautiful view from the veranda. I visited four game reserves/parks on this visit and it was Welgevonden which was my favorite and provided me with the best game sightings. Looking forward to my third visit in the future.

“Fabulous stay”

We have just returned this morning from a 3 night stay at Nedile Lodge, it was the highlight of our South Africa trip after visiting Cape Town and Franschoek. The Lodge is in a beautiful location with everything thought of for a luxurious stay.

The 6 game drives that we did with Barend we’re all amazing, seeing herds of elephants really close to the Jeep, 7 lions together, cheetah cubs with their mother, hyenas, rhinos with their young, giraffe, zebra and numerous other animals made our first safari very special!

The food was exceptional, and all the staff were friendly, we will be going back, thanks for making such special memories!

“Our new favourite lodge in Welgevonden ”

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Nedile Lodge in June, and having visited a number of other lodges in Welgevonden we agree that Nedile is now our absolute favourite. The lodge is small and beautifully laid out. Luxurious without being pretentious, lots of attention to detail, hot water bottles in the bed and a fire lit when you return from dinner. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate brought to your room with the 6am game drive wake up etc. Ranger/manager Barendt along with Manager Jonathan run an excellent operation, the small staff compliment are friendly and helpful and the chef excellent. Game viewing at Welgevonden never disappoints, made even more enjoyable by a knowledgeable ranger. We’ll definitely return to Nedile.
