    “Beyond Perfect”

Wow – Phinda Zuka is a very special place. Our family was lucky enough to have the camp to ourselves, which made it even more special. Luke, Richard and Grateful – all fabulous. We spent hours just gazing at the waterhole – watching Elephants, Giraffe, Impala, Nyala. We really wanted to see cheetah – and happily we did….lots of them. I would recommend Zuka to anyone – its unique and the fabulous team could not do enough to make everything extra special. Phenomenal – Thank You xx

    “Amazing Experience!”

Holy cow! What an experience! We were so lucky…we were the only people staying at the lodge so we had it…and the staff…all to ourselves! The cabins (we had two, one for us, one for our daughter) were lovely. Spacious, comfortable beds, large bathroom with big shower and claw foot tub. There was also an outdoor shower but we didn’t take advantage of that 🙂 There was a watering hole directly in front of our cabins and it was so cool to watch the animals come for a drink. The food was delicious thanks to our *personal* chef, Grateful. Other staff members, Zane (pronounced Zah-nay) and Professor, were wonderful. So friendly and accommodating! Our game driver, Matt, was awesome. His tracker partner, Bosani, was awesome as well. They found us an amazing variety of animals for viewing…nyala, warthog, baboon, the elusive leopard, lion, giraffe, cheetah (and cubs), kudo, wildebeest, impala, lion (more cubs), zebra, vervet monkey and a number of birds. We just loved our stay at Zuka and would return in a heartbeat

    “VIP Treatment”

I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels but staying at Zuka is probably what it’s like to be a celebrity or millionaire. As a group of 7 we took over the whole lodge and nothing was too much trouble for all the lovely staff. From coming back after dinner to have all the candles lit around the luxurious soaker tub to the roaring fire Nadu built us on the one rainy day, it was just so impressive. Kate and the team should be congratulated. The food is great and never-ending. Our tracker, Bosani, was a miracle to watch as he spied out the hardest to spot game. We saw lots of amazing animals, including a leopard coming to drink at the waterhole and massive male lion roaring just outside my window in the early morning. The whole thing was amazing. You should definitely book right now. The best place I’ve ever stayed. I think it was a good idea to come in winter, the weather was great, only rained once in 2 weeks, and the temperature was really pleasant once the sun came up. There were also almost no insects. It was great to see so many of the staff coming from the local communities and the &Beyond brand so committed to training. You can ask your ranger to drive you over the massive Mountain Lodge to look at the view and buy souvenirs if you feel like it, they are always happy to accommodate.

    “Our New Favorite”

A very special lodge! We had exclusive use of this 4 bedroom lodge, thereby lending a very relaxed and flexible schedule. Sitting on our verandas and watching the elephants, warthogs and nyala come to the watering hole was truly special. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. Mark and Seme, our guide and spotter, did an outstanding job of showing us the animals and imparting their wealth of knowledge about the animals and their habitats. We saw all of the big five during just one afternoon drive. We’ve stayed at Phinda Mountain Lodge, and Phinda Forest Lodge in the past, and love those; but Zuka Lodge is our new favorite. Be sure to arrive by 4 wheel drive vehicle – the road down to the lodge is quite rough!
