“Simply the best”

Just back from an amazing stay at Tintswalo Safari lodges. Each lodge is furnished to the highest standards and with a watering hole at the main lodge don’t be surprised to see a variety of wildlife coming right up to the edge of the property.
The guides and spotters were excellent, not only knowledgeable but amiable and highly enthusiastic about the wildlife. We saw so much wildlife including two amazing Lion prides, a female white Rhino and youngster, elephants which in one case came within 5 meters of the jeep. In fact never more than 10 minutes without a sighting.
A surprise every night for dinner, and not just the menu! We stayed three nights and ate in three separate locations, the wine cellar, in the bush, and at the lodges traditional boma (fire pit).
Can’t wait to come back!

“"No words can do this place justice"”

My partner and I took my parents to Tintswalo for their 40th wedding anniversary. One phrase that my parents kept saying during the whole four days was “no words can do this place justice”. That’s because it was simply divine from start to finish. It was almost dreamy. I don’t want to write a huge post here detailing our entire experience but I will point out some highlights. The game viewing is fantastic. We saw the big 5 and more. Eric and Foster, our guides, were true professionals. Food – every meal was delicious and the chefs went out of their way to cater to our dietary requirements. The Grant Suite (two-bedroom) was delightful, from the heavenly interior to the stunning views of grazing animals in the bush. The lodge is small scale, so only has around 25 guests at one time, so you feel extremely well looked after the whole time. The staff throughout were just amazing and made us feel so comfortable. It’s not usual that a hotel has an emotional impact on their guests, but I can genuinely say Tintswalo did for me, and for that, I am very grateful! We’ll be back again soon!

“All-round Quality!”

We stayed middle November. Alistair was our guide and wise our tracker. We saw Leopard and cup that made a kill; Lion hunting Buffalo in-front of the Lodge; Group of more than a dozen Lion eating a waterbuck; Buffalo at the Lodge and Elephant all round. The sun-downers snacks were exciting and delicious, breakfast scrumptious and at Lunch the Boboti was my favourite. We stayed in the Grant suit which has two rooms and ample space in bath, living and sleeping room with comfortable couches and great coffee to boost. The deck is large with a clean and inviting pool. Love this property a lot. The staff especially make the atmosphere welcoming and super friendly. Also big thank you to Emily (Lodge GM); Wade (chef); Simone (receptionist) as-well Andrew; Mariska; Thuli for also making our time very special. A property not to be missed!

“Best experience ever”

We spent two nights at Tintswalo as part of our honeymoon. We were supposed to stay at Imbali but they cancelled on us day of check-in. We arrived around 3 pm and were given a tour before being taken to our suite. A few minutes later a platter of food arrived for us. We had a game drive at 4 pm with Dave and Eric. They are both amazing people. At the end of the drive, we were surprised by going to their bush bar for drinks and apps around a fire. Upon returning to the lodge were had dinner and then went to sleep. Each day is filled with adventure. It starts with a light snack followed by a game drive and then breakfast with the guide ( Dave). Dave took us on a walking safari also. Everyone is very friendly. It was my wife’s birthday and when we returned to our suite their was a gift on the bed for her. They even made her a cake for dinner. It is worth every penny and we hope to return.
